Mike joined Highland in 2020, bringing over 20 years of investment consulting experience to the firm. He leads the defined benefit practice at Highland, and as consulting team leader, his responsibilities include coordinating client service, designing customized client solutions, and collaborating with the firm’s marketing team to propose innovative DB strategies to prospective clients.
Prior to joining Highland, Mike was a senior consultant with Mercer Investments where he advised DB and DC clients on investment strategy, implementation, and in-depth reviews of capital markets. In addition, Mike partnered with colleagues in Mercer’s financial strategies and actuarial groups to establish and implement dynamic risk-mitigation strategies designed to allow flexibility in changing investment, economic, and credit cycles.

When Mike’s not developing creative DB solutions for his clients, he’s in the kitchen allocating ingredients to develop culinary delights for his family and guests.
